The colors of Asia
The last few days have been very relaxing - We have enjoyed some games of frisbee in the ocean soaking ourselves from head to toe and as we spent so much time in NZ walking we have found we actually enjoy it and spend several hours a day walking up and down Chaweng Beach and the shops. We had a dinner by candlelite on the beach the other night (Which although was nice the food was terrible - I have never had so much oil in spaghetti.. Teaches us for ordering western food). Also if you can remember back to our first time in Koh Samui we had fallen in love with a painting but due to the restrictions with us still having to travel around NZ we chose not to buy it.. We found the same painting shop and it so happens he was just starting the one we liked, we decided to wait and see what the painting looked like as we could not remember but we did not put a deposit down and by the time we saw it completed and fell back in love with it, it had been sold. With 2 days remaining he has advised us he will have just enough time to do another one and it will be dryed by tonight at 11:00pm. We gave a deposit and the pricwe of the HUGE painting is 2500BAHT and will soon be the proud owners of a beautiful painting which we have choosen not to put on the blog so everyone has to come over and see it :), We then figured we are having a nice time here so why not stay one more day so he doesn't have to rush through the painting - We arrived at the paint shop and out of the corner of his eye kirby spotted another painting - after much debate and an excellent price of 1000baht we are now the proud owners of 2!!! lovely paintings one of which is very Asia and I cant wait to get it above the couch! They are both quite large which is a steal for $100CAD for both the paintings - However the 2nd painting took the money which we were going to use to stay another day so he still has to get it done tonight or meet us at 6:00am tomorrow if it isn't dry tonight. Today is our last day here, we had planned to go to the beach but the weather is rainy (Not natural disaster rainy, so no worries) So I think we will just continue relaxing.. Might even grab a starbucks and curl up with a book. We have purchased our transportation out and we will be heading to Ao Nang beach tomorrow morning at 7:30am and will arrive at 1:30pm. We will be staying at For You Guesthouse Hopefully!!!!)
