Finally at the beach.

We have spent 3 days in Penang and had a very relaxing time. All tourist activities were closed down as the prime ministers wife passed away and the country was in mourning.
They did however keep the night market open so on our lastnight in Penang Bob, Sarah and us went to a steak house called the ship whih is a restaurant built into a large wooden ship. We then went into the night market which was the kind of market we were looking for that had all sorts of textiles and wooden carvings, painting etc...
We actually ended up getting ourselves a table runner (it was too pretty to pass up and only cost $3.00CAD)
We took the 8:30am ferry to Langkawi and right into a good rain storm- So much for the beach today!
The rain has since stopped and Bob, Sarah and us ventured down to the ocean and walked thru the sand. There were many crabs on the beach.
We then ventured into our "town" and found a duty free shop with alcohol (.40$ for 1 beeR(Carlberg/Heiniken)) We bought a 40 of Bailey's for $10.00CAD... We shall be breaking into that when we return to the hotel.
The hotel has a beautiful pool that spans 1.4kms. and has a cascading waterfall, waterslide, wave pool, lazy river and most importantly a swim up bar!!
