I'm leaving... On a jet plane...

So would we believe somethinjg has actually worked out for the best!
We had our car sold today by 12:00pm for our asking price of $1900 (which is $400 more then what we bought it for!! WOOHOO!!!!) After the sale of the car we called Malaysia airlines to see when the next available flight out is as I had mentioned before accomodations are outrageous and we are spening $70/day just on them alone... He advised me that he has booked us onto tomorrows flight at 2:10pm which will save us tons of money for Thailand! We will be in Thailand until Feb 26th and will be flying into Calgary the early morning of Feb 28th - It worked out great!
Also due to stressing out on what we were going to do for the next few months we did not get a chance to blog about the good times we had in Dunedin - So I will do it now!! We took a beautiful drive along the coast to the pennisula to do some nature viewing and were greatly rewarded when we got there. We got out of the car and walked over to a cliff viewing area where we could look down into the ocean and were
able to make out the fur seals on the rocks below which was really neat, we then started to walk over to the other cliffed area when a giant bird flew in front of us - It was a royal albatros which is the biggest sea bird in the world with a wing span of 6-8 ft! We then were hunting the skys trying to get a good picture when we noticed they were now flying around the cliffs where we just left, we walked back over and an albatros flew within 10 ft of Kirby, he had the camera positioned and ready to go and we got an amazing photo. We went into the info centre and asked if there was anywhere around where we can see penguins. She advised that if we walk down to the beach there would be penguins coming in at about 9:00pm as it was shortly after 8:00pm we decided to wait for the little blue birds to come in from the water and back to their nests. When we reached the beach we thought we would take a walk and right down the beach were 2 fur seals sunning themselves in the sand. They let us get about 2 ft from them and then continued to snore.. Thats right.. Seals snore! We watched them forever as it was just so amazing although the extent of their movement was to sit up and do a little strech and then collapse right back down in the dirt. (at one point kirby talked too loud and the one let out a gruff at him to tell him to shut up and went back to sleep.. It was funny!)
We then lined up to see the penguins who actually didn't come until 10:00pm - they were neat to see however at that point it was quite dark out and we could only just make them out in the dark and you could not use your flash so you couldn't get any photos which is too bad but understandable.
We went around our last day and looked at some of the oldest buildings although we missed seeing the steepest street in the world. We said goodbye to our nice old haunted hostel (See picture 1) and yeah.. the rest is history.. So we have a long, long flight ahead of us tomorrow .. I think 17 hours and we will have 1 night in KL and then we will be hoping a flight to Phuket.. Not sure where we go from there but that will come with time.. We are abandoning make plans in the future as it doesn't work out so we will play it by er.
