We had a fantastic lastnight in NZ!
We decided as a celebration of selling the car we would go to Minus 5 ice bar. It is a bar made completly out of ice, we paid our $35 to get in which includes 2 vodka based drinks, they dress you up in a parka and gloves and off you go!
When you order your drinks they come in a cup shaped of ice which you can eat and lick as much as you want (Boy do your lips get cold!) (Sorry to write this Amanda I know this is your worst nightmare!!)
We looked at the amazing ice carvings and after 25min they kick you out so you dont get frost bite.. It was a great time!
As soon as we walked onto the harbour a massive 15 minute fireworks display for Auckland day which is on Monday started - We were in the perfect spot to watch the fireworks... So it was a great end to our trip!
Long flight today and we had to get up at 6:30 so we could do laundry as it was packed lastnight!
Cheers!

Hi there, Not sure if you will be able to receive this now as you are on the move. We are really happy for you that you got to go to the Ice Bar, you'd not forgive your self if you got all the way back home as said "we should have" It's nice to leave a country with happy memories... Your pictures are fantastaic, thank you for taking them... Enjoy your time in Thailand and we will look foward to seeing you in a month.
Great pictures of the ice bar. It is pretty amazing that they can do a bar like that in New Zealand. We wish you happy and safe travels to Thailand and look forward to hearing from you when you arrive. Explore and enjoy all Thailand has to offer. Stay safe.
Lots of love

Krista,
Wow - well enjoy Asia again...I wonder if you'll get a chance to take part in an New Year's festivals?! Although it's Chinese new year this week, Peter says that Cambodia and other surrounding countries (Thailand?) have their own New Year celebrations, often around the same time!
I had a bit of a chuckle at your ice bar....I was getting prickly shivers up my spine looking at the photos and reading it, and then your comments made me laugh! It WOULD be my worst nightmare. I can handle the ice around me, but to have to drink out of an ice glass...eek!
Have an awesome time in Asia - sorry to hear your trip will be cut short, but it'll be nice to see you again so soon! Perhaps Chris and I will hold off on our Christmas gift exchange until you return (yes, its sad - we still haven't done it yet!)
Have a great time in Thailand!
